In 1847 the McBroom forefathers were the first settlers in the beautiful & rugged Salmon River California country.  To accommodate the needs of successive settlers, the McBrooms provided a packing service.  Their knowledge & accessibility to the surrounding mountains has now been passed down for six generations.  Dean McBroom, recognized by US Congress for a National Leadership award, is the owner & head packer & guide.  He also provides wildlife consultation throughout the North State for organizations like The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation & the Salmon River Restoration Council.
